Twist the pencil to move the color to the desired length. Apply along the lash line from the inner to outer corners. For a softer look, use the smudger tool.

Well, I only got to use it once
Well, I only got to use it once. I inadvertently put the cap on the wrong side which smooshed the pencil and when I tried to take it off it pulled the entire eyeliner portion out with it. Could not put it back in was then ruined. So, maybe the one of the lids should be skinnier so it won't fit. I'm sure I am not the first person this has happened to.
